Antique c.1900 Child’s Animal Alphabet Blocks - Lithographed Full Set Rare and hard Offered here is a rare find. This is a complete set of Victorian era c.1900 small children's lithographed animal alphabet flat blocks. These are NOT modern reproductions! These blocks were passed down from my grandmother to my mother (born in 1918) and then to me ...I have been the sole owner of them. There are a total of 12 wooden blocks with lithographed animal images on both sides...they are unmarked as to manufacturer - they are unmarked but may be made by the manufacturer Schoenhutt (my grandparents originally came from Germany) The animal images show some wear and tear from well-loved use, but they are in really good shape for their age. This is a really nice set for collectors of vintage toys! Each block measures as follows: Width = 1 1/8" Height =1 3/8" Depth -1/2" The edges on the blocks are somewhat rounded due to their age and use (probably in their prime they were more squared. The lithographs show wear and have animal's names that we no longer use today.
