This listing is for a "VERY RARE" ANTIQUE Educational Toy Made by H.G. CRESS TOY MAKER CO. in Troy Ohio. I have investigated this item and can find no other like it on any Auction, Antique, Vintage or Toy Site. I have found other H.G. Cress Educational Boards but none like this. The last date I could find was 1921 for any Production by this Company. I would love to hear from anyone that might know anything about this item. This item is in what I will call Good Antique Condition even with its flaws, the Board is a Tabletop Sandwich Board that no longer has the strap that held it together. It has remnants of the strap that have been taped over, It can easily be repaired but I did not want to alter it in any way. There are "4" Sides to this Board and they all show wear, the Slate on each side is scratched but could also be repaired with a touch of Blackboard Paint. The Front Board has 2 Cardboard Pockets that held cards and chalk, there are animals across the top. Midway on this Board it is Printed; No.110 27 CARD SET MADE IN U.S.A. PUZZLE PICTURE-WORD BUILDER and Four- Fold- Slate The H. G. Cress Co. TROY OHIO, U.S.A. The Second Board is Printed with ABC's & Numbers 1-10 and LETTER FIGURE SET across the top.. The Third Board is Printed COUNTING BY TENS, the Numbers 10-100,100-1000 and "2" Open Slots. The Back or Fourth Board is Printed THREE-WAY COUNTING SET, has "9" Blocks with the Numbers 1-9, the words ONE-NINE, each Block has an Animal to represent the Number. The Boards are in 1/2" 16" x 13" Wooden Frames with Green Paint that has Faded, the Paint is scratched but the Frames are Solid. The other H. G. Cress ABC-Slate Boards I found were listed as Educational items. Refurbished are even left as it is would be a Great Addition to any Collection of Antique Toys or Old School Teachings.
