Antique Twistum circus elephant, rare and hard to find as they weren't made for long. Made by the Twistum Toy Factory with a patent date of 1920. Jointed and strung together with piano wire make them very strong, able to twist and turn in all sorts of positions. Trying to compete with Schoenhut's Humpty Dumpty circus in the 1920's. All original with tusks and tail intact. Partial label on bottom of foot. Paint chipping and loss as pictured.
