I am not a doll expert. On the back of the doll's neck I can read a copyright symbol and the year, which is scratched out by that "SP 93." But the rest of it I can read. It says E I Horseman Co Made in Germany. As far as I can tell, this is authentic, but it could be a reproduction. The dress does not go with the doll but came dressed in it from the estate sale. This sweet bisque and cloth doll has the most interesting facial expression. Her head and hands are bisque, just exquisite attention to detail with her lifelike expression. She is beautifully made. I purchased her at an estate sale, but she is wearing a Christmas dress belonging to another doll. The tag on the dress says it belongs to "Katherine," who is a Precious Moments doll, who was exclusively made for Amway in 1997. The dress is not a perfect fit or anything, but I will leave this pairing as is because what do I know? Maybe you want this baby doll all dressed up in her big sister's gown. Also, the neck also has "SP 93" carved into it over the maker's name and date. Please see photos. I sell many interesting items, so maybe take a look.
